This case was a special one. We were contacted by a company selling a Bentley to a well-known client. They wanted to know if we could not only arrange the Portuguese registration and plates, but also take care of storage and have the car brought to the inspection. The goal was for the car to be delivered to the customer’s address already carrying Portuguese plates.
Transport and documentation
The selling company arranged transport from Germany to the Netherlands, and from there to Portugal. The car was delivered to a warehouse in Portugal through one of our trusted partners. During this time, we prepared all the necessary inspection documentation so the car could go to inspection as soon as possible. Everything was organized within just a few days, and of course, fully insured in case anything happened to the vehicle.
Taxes
You might expect the taxes for a car like this to be extremely high, but compared to its value, they were actually quite reasonable. The Bentley is a plug-in hybrid, which means it benefited from a significant tax reduction. And because the car was already a few years old, there was no VAT to be paid.
Customs application
