The DUA (Documento Único Automóvel) is the vehicle registration document or card that you must keep in your car while driving.
How do You Get the DUA?
You receive the DUA at the end of the import process. After completing customs and IMT registration, you can obtain the DUA at your local conservatory. You will pay a registration fee and receive the card in the mail within about a week.
Typically, you need to wait 1-2 months after IMT registration before registering at the conservatory. However, waiting more than 2 months may result in a fine, so timing is crucial.
Also, when doing the conservatory registration, be aware that not everyone speaks English.
You Don’t Have to do the Registration Yourself
We can handle obtaining the DUA for you, ensuring you won’t have to worry about timing, and we will deliver the card without hassle.
